When we updated to v1.1 we added some UI elements which were not compatible with Facebook Connect SDK login process. We have just been waiting to release that fix along with a major update. I was afraid that I’d have to wait for my AT&T contract to run out and the nxt iPhone model to be able to take video of my little 3 yr. old girl runnin around, but thanks to y’all I can do that now! Thanks. The only thing that I’d really request after using it for a couple of days is a higher FPS rate, but I imagine that that’s prob one of the more challenging things to build in. Good work. It is really a nice app especially considering the extremely fast startup and video finalization, and this the app that comes with the most video sharing method I’ve seen.
To make the great app even greater, here are few suggestions / reports I’d like to make (some might have been said a thousand times but, just in case.
– would be nice if the copy and paste work when editing title / description. At moment although I long-tapped the string the copy’n'paste bubble won’t appear.
– would be nice not to steal video clip focus when finished sharing. YouTube is the only one I currently using (am still waiting for FB to work
) but when I finish uploading it automatically jumps to the top of the list. This is especially annoying if you keep a clip collection and tent to forget which clip been uploaded.
– would be nice to add the date of upload next to the sharing method. Some users like me might first share the video in YouTube, then share some in Facebook, then export those really favorite ones to photo roll so they can send to their friend anytime. If you’ll add a date next to the sharing method they used they will never forget.
– would be nice to be able to export the video as the 3gp format to photo roll. This is the format many mobile phone in Japan use in common, if you’re using ffmpeg chances are this format should be already supported. The mov format is too big and will not be viewable on the Japanese phones in Japan (even if you’re not interested in regional facts I’m adding this as a note.)
– finally, I wish you couldcontinue focus on extending the already sharing strength. It would be perfectly great if the frame rate and graphic and the resolution and [_______] are improved as well but, after all there’s really much to expect fromiPhone’s poor camera (in fact the audio recording quality out performs graphic quality that it maintain a good balance to me.)

Please get the facebook problem fixed!!!! That was the one reason I chose your app over others because the info talked about how easy it was to put videos on facebook. I was extremely disapointed when after buying your app I could not use it to put a video of my brand new grand niece on facebook for my out of state family to see. Fix that issue and maybe an added bonus of being able to zoom in and out and your app would be perfect!!!
Not sure what UDID is but the reason I bought ivideo was for the Facebook posting. Please let me know when the update is schedules so I can decide whether or not to explore others.

Dan, get Qik. It upload to facebook, better framerate, ability to zoom in, and effects like grayscale and others. These people obviously don’t care what their customers think.
Dan you can also try icamcorder it’s the 3rd video app. It’s the newest one it has facebook upload and it has more than 15 fps and has zoom and effects. I don’t know how it compares to qik but icamcorder is also a good app. I’m happy with it. =D
This app definitely needs some work. Kudos to you for developing a video camera app for older iphones. I was about to jailbreak mine until I came across this. The Facebook sharing not working AT ALL is a huge oversight on your part. What kind of QA do you have where not even being able to enter your FB login in the UI slips past you? I’ve also been unsuccessful in sharing with youtube. It seems to authenticate and upload, but then at the end of the upload it shows a useless error, but I’m assuming this has something to do maybe with my youtube account or something else since no one else seems to be complaining.
One other big gripe I have is that whatever internet detection code you have on the Share Video screen needs work. Here at work we have a corporate wifi that has a proxy, all other apps that make http connections like youtube, FB, Safari, etc. work fine on this network. But this app continually prompts that it doesn’t have an internet connection. I don’t know the details, but you need to somehow detect the proxy which I think you’re not doing.
Finally, the video quality is just okay. Needs work, and there seems to be a way to get at least 15 FPS ’cause other apps have it.
I think if you get these things fixed and get the update out there QUICK you’ll be good to go. Otherwise you’ll continue to get bad reviews and the other video apps will outshine. I’ll hold off reviewing until your update comes out, hopefully soon.

seriously update with higher resolution, mms, 20-25 fps at least to try to get that high or just 15 fps, facebook bug fix, and again seriously update fast dudes I’m freaking checking everyday for an update all exited but nothing is there.
I bought this app specifically to put videos up on facebook and YouTube, neither of which works. .99 cents is cheap, but it would be nice if the app you sold me did what it’s says it would do.
You can keep selling something you know is broke. This is called fraud and could be criminal. Yes I said it. When you collect money on something advertised as one thing when you know it is not it shows intent. Intent to fraud. I’ll await a fix or full refund. Sorry I am cling you out on this scam.
HOLY CRAP Joe… they tell the people to visit the blog for more info, and the blog says Facebook doesn’t work, and I don’t think you can get as far as fraud and false advertisement with a small simple app in the app store. I’ll bet when the update comes out, it’ll be iPhone 3GS quality, which is 30 frames per seconds, WITH Facebook fixed and additional features. Be patient. They might surprise use without notice.

I had to buy Qik Video Camera, and it works great… 15 fps, onscreen menues, several effects, great quality, share by mail and to facebook is awesome (just uploaded a 18 mb video very fast!).
So… should I keep this app installed waiting for the update??? I almost dont think so…

Improving the video quality further would be amazing and also other video affects such as black and white and zoom but cant wait to see what you come up with!

Okay nevermind I figured it out. I feel stupid lol. For others trying to figure this out, just go into the app store and search UDID and download one of the free apps that will email it to you
just don’t share it on any public websites.
Switched to Qik Video until the update is released. I hope you guys add an audio booster thing like they have. Plus, their UI sucks dick, iVideo Camera’s is way nicer and smoother =] lets go update!
