Sonar Ruler

Sonar Ruler

Sonar Ruler was one of our early experiments in acoustic sensing, using only the iPhone’s speaker and microphone to measure distance by emitting ultrasonic pulses and timing their echoes. Although it’s no longer available, it remains a project we’re proud of for demonstrating how far innovative signal processing can push the capabilities of everyday mobile hardware.

iVideoCamera

iVideoCamera

iVideoCamera was one of our early breakthroughs in pushing the limits of the iPhone, enabling video recording on devices that Apple hadn’t yet equipped with native video support. The app is no longer available, but it remains a milestone for us—showing how creative engineering and low-level access to the camera pipeline could unlock entirely new functionality years ahead of schedule.

iTimelapse

iTimelapse

iTimeLapse was an early exploration into time-lapse creation on the iPhone, giving users the ability to capture, edit, and compile long-form sequences long before these tools were built into the device. Though it’s no longer available, it remains one of our favorite examples of how thoughtful engineering and user-focused design could turn a mobile camera into a creative studio.
